Louis Tussaud's Waxworks Latest News
One of Blackpool’s most popular family attractions,
Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks, took delivery of our newest
arrival – one of cinema’s legendary creatures “King
Kong”.The giant ape from the fictional Skull Island, famous for the 1933 blockbuster movie has been described as being the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’ and the team at Louis Tussaud’s certainly had their work cut out for them, as they manoeuvred the 15’ high model head of “King Kong” into the building. Once inside the Waxworks the 15’ head will take centre stage in the “King Kong set” alongside the giant ape’s 6’ hand, where guests can stand in the giant’s palm playing the damsel in distress or the fearless hero. The new arrival took over three months to create and has moving animatronic eyes, his coat is made up of real yak hair, which had to be individually sewn into a silicone skin. King Kong is now open to the public in our Hollywood room.
