LAURENCE LLEWELYN-BOWEN TO BE FOREVER
IMMORTALISED IN BLACKPOOL

After Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s celebrated contribution to this year’s Blackpool Illuminations, Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks, one of the main attractions in the resort, has invited the sophisticated designer to be immortalised in it’s “Celeb City” exhibition.

Laurence and his family joined the Team at the Waxworks as he underwent his first sitting, where dimensions and images were taken of his face and body enabling the waxworks sculptor, to make a start on the enigmatic character, before the family went on a tour of Tussaud’s meeting and greeting a whole host of Hollywood A Lister’s in the new Movie Premiere scene, such as Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and one of cinemas legendary creatures – the giant “King Kong”.

Matt Titherington, General Manager of the attraction said “It seemed very appropriate to invite Laurence to be immortalised in our “Celeb City including the fact that he has re-designed some of this year’s illuminations which have been a huge success and, of course, he is a face and celebrity that everyone from all walks of life can recognise and associate with. We have made a start on his clay head and are looking to inviting Laurence back for his second sitting in a couple of months.”

Matt continued “I am sure it will be a challenge ensuring that Laurence’s attire is spot on from the suit, the hair to his trade mark collar and cuffs !”

Laurence who has been adopted as the son of Blackpool and has totally embraced the resort, its history and atmosphere was recently quoted as saying ”I am totally seduced by Blackpool’s historical reputation for its giddy glitz.“

Laurence will be alongside many other well known celebrities including Elton John, David Beckham and Gordon Ramsey, who is one of the Waxworks most photographed models.
